4 Week Beginner's Course - Vinyasa Yoga Foundations Level 1

Our Vinyasa Foundations Level 1 & Level 2 Courses are designed specifically for students who are new to yoga and for experienced students who are looking to refine their practice.  Learn the fundamentals of Vinyasa Yoga in an open and supportive environment, with the opportunity to ask questions at each stage.  With a focus on slow, steady progressive learning, once the course is complete, you will feel confident to attend any and all Open Level Vinyasa yoga classes at Love Yoga.

Foundations Level 1

  • An introduction to the history and philosophy of yoga.

  • Asana (posture) fundamentals, breaking down key poses.

  • How to approach postures (asana) safely as a beginner.

  • An intelligent and functional approach to engaging in postural alignment; understand the ‘how’ and ‘why’ associated with specific alignment cues and their variables.

  • How to move smoothly and fluidly in between postures (asana); ‘flow’

  • How to modify the practice to suit your needs, whilst participating in group and mixed level classes

  • How we use the breath to focus the mind and cultivate calm whilst moving the body with awareness.

  • Simple relaxation and meditation tools and techniques

  • Build confidence and skills so that you feel comfortable attending mixed level (open) Vinyasa yoga classes



  • Beginners Manual with basic vinyasa sequence for at home practice/study

  • Taught by Senior Teacher

  • 4 week course

  • UNLIMITED drop-in classes during course
